2014 marked the 9th year Aware Health and our amazing clients and friends have participated in our Christmas Gift Drive for disadvantaged children in foster care, therapeutic care, adolescent care, home based care and transitional housing for youths. This year was even bigger than last year, with over 150 names on our list, our friends, clients and residents of the Inner West banded together to donate a stack of gifts to these well deserving children and youths. With a sense of community and the understanding that it takes a village to raise a child, we had members of the NAB, Charter Keck Cramer, Inner West Mums & Bubs and Inner West Buy, Swap & Sell generously contribute presents to our gift drive. It was an outstanding effort and we couldn't have done it without everyone's help. Here's a picture of some most of the gifts that came in. The pic in the top right hand corner is the gift summary from last years gift drive. Thank you to everyone that contributed this year. It means a lot to know so many people care. We've started celebrating early this year and have already put up our Christmas wall tree, but it's not just any tree. This year, we present our valued clients and friends with our 8th Annual Christmas Gift Drive. Working in conjunction with Salvation Army Westcare, Melton Foster Care, Adolescent Home Based Care, Therapeutic Foster Care Programs & Transitional Supported Accommodation for Youth. All you have to do is visit our clinic in Newport over the next couple of months, select a gift tag from our wall tree and donate a gift to a well deserving child. Don't worry, there are gift suggestions on the tag to make the process of choosing a gift easier. Choose as many tags as you like. Share it with your friends, family and co-workers. The more people who get involved, the bigger Christmas of giving we can have! Gifts must be returned to reception, wrapped and tagged no later than 5pm, Thursday 19th December to ensure we get the gifts to the kids and youths in time to be opened on Christmas Day. We thank you in advance for all your generosity. This is what Christmas is all about. And food! Must not forget about all that food! ![]() 2013 Christmas Gift Drive Supporting children in foster care Really, where does the time go? This year, we present our 8th Annual Christmas Gift Drive to support children and adolescents in foster and specialised care. Last year was such a success, we couldn't resist the temptation to do it all again. You will soon see a Xmas tree displayed at reception with special tags each representing a child in need. Show how much you care by picking a tag and donating a special gift. It can be anonymous or you can leave your name on the tag. So keep an eye out and let's see if we can beat last years success. Christmas is coming soon ya'll! Working in conjunction with Salvation Army Westcare, Melton Foster Care, Spacialised & Adolescent Care. |
